Bright, fruit-forward, and beautifully aromatic, this natural-process Ethiopian coffee showcases vibrant notes of strawberry and juicy peach, layered with delicate florals. The result is a lively, expressive cup with natural sweetness, a smooth body, and the unmistakable character that makes coffees from Ethiopia’s Sidama region so special.

Produced by Daye Bensa Coffee, this coffee comes from Durato in the Bombe Kebele of Ethiopia’s renowned Sidama region. Daye Bensa was established in 2006 by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, whose roots in coffee run deep throughout Sidama. Today, they operate numerous washing stations and dry mills while working closely with smallholder farmers across the region.

This particular lot brings together coffee from 626 farmers in the village of Durato, which shares its name with nearby Bombe Mountain where the coffee is grown. After harvest, ripe coffee cherries are carefully collected and brought to the Kontama mill for meticulous processing.

The cherries are sun-dried whole for approximately 10–15 days, allowing the natural sugars and fruit characteristics to develop as the coffee slowly dries. This traditional natural process creates the intensely fruit-forward profile and complexity found in the finished cup.

Lightly roasted to preserve its vibrant character, Durato Bombe delivers a beautifully expressive taste of Sidama—sweet, floral, and bursting with fresh fruit.
